Local Action is a film which documents one community's grass roots responses to the challenges of climate change. Directed and Produced by Nick Gutfreund, the project tracks the town of Bedford, New York by weaving together the stories of several individuals, both private citizens and public servants. We see a variety of responses to the problem from educational, religious, business and residential sectors as they work to find concrete solutions.

Esty was appointed to be the State of Connecticut’s Chairman of the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection our friends and clients at SmartPower wanted to help him share his experience and perspective on the challenges we all face.
We worked with SmartPower(the nation’s leading non-profit marketing firm dedicated to promoting clean, renewable energy and energy efficiency) to assist in the roll-out of Connecticut’s community savings program which engages to reduce their home’s energy use by 20%. As residents join and take actions to help their household, they earn points that can be redeemed for community rewards.
